A Salon

Located in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, we specialize in cuts, color, and a variety of special services ranging from blow-outs and up-dos to keratin treatments.

An exhibit

Historically, a salon was a place for likeminded people to discuss art, literature and other creative pursuits. We're proud to feature a rotating gallery of different artists.

 A Destination

We support our community through events that directly benefit local businesses, charities, and artists. Come join us and become part of what we do.

EMMALINE PAYETTE

Emmaline Payette (b. 1987) is a multi-disciplinary artist living and working in Brooklyn, NY. Emmaline’s artistic vision is rooted in her academic background in Environmental Anthropology. She uses recycled materials and living plants to create installations that explore the interconnectedness of culture and ecology. Beyond her studio and installation practice, her work relies on direct engagement: from reaching out to her immediate community for recycled materials to seed bombing vacant lots. Emmaline is also embedding her work directly into the broader human environment by tattooing stick drawings by hand onto humans, creating a distinct network. Recently, Emmaline has shown work with Sunday Sessions at MoMA PS1, SVA and NARS Foundation.

                                   JAZMINE HAYES

Jazmine Hayes is a Brooklyn based mixed-media artist, born and raised in East New York Brooklyn. She uses her artwork to explore social and personal topics of family ancestry, woman of color, and identity. Although Hayes is predominately a painter, she is very intrigued with installations, using whatever materials she believes the work needs in order to connect with the viewer. She holds a BFA in painting from CUNY Queens College where she studied closely under Glenn Goldberg and Debra Priestly. She has worked with community-based organizations across New York City as a muralist and teaching artist. Hayes states, “My history, my testimonies, and life's experiences substantiate my identity and inspire my work”.
